After all, biodiversity is invaluable and crucial for the balance of nature. Together with nature conservation organizations and other zoological institutions, Tierpark Berlin is actively committed to the preservation of endangered species:
- Over 30 Berlin bearded vultures have already been handed over to international reintroduction projects.
- Tierpark Berlin has already had two offspring of the rare bear cuscus. The European conservation breeding program for this species has been coordinated here since 2023.
- Conservation measures, extensive conservation breeding and reintroduction have saved the Northern Bald Ibis from extinction.
- 46 European bison have already traveled from Tierpark Berlin to Azerbaijan for reintroduction.
