09. February19:00 - 21:00Friedrichsfelde PalaceVioloncello & Piano - Jakob Spahn & Jonathan Aner
Works by Beethoven, Saint-Saëns and Martinů
Jakob Spahn, principal cellist of the Bavarian State Opera, and Jonathan Aner, professor at Berlin's Hanns Eisler Hochschule, have formed a permanent duo for years. Both have won several prizes at international competitions such as the Melbourne Chamber Competition and the ARD Competition. They have performed as soloists and chamber musicians at numerous festivals and with orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic and the Bavarian State Orchestra.

23. February19:00 - 21:00Friedrichsfelde PalaceViolin & Piano - Louise Wehr & Sebastian Berakdar
Works by Mozart, Enescu and Grieg
The violinist Louise Wehr is a prize winner of numerous national and international competitions and has received regular concert invitations from the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Neubrandenburg Festival, and the NDR Hannover and Bremen for many years. Sebastian Berakdar is a regular guest at renowned festivals such as the Köthener Bachfesttage, the Mosel Musikfestival, the SWR2 Musiksommer, the Euregio Musikfestival and performs in major concert halls in Germany, Europe and Asia.

Works by Debussy and Bach
As a multiple prize winner of national and international competitions, Heidrum Holtmann won the 1st prize of the Concours Géza Anda in 1982 as the youngest to date. Engagements with conductors such as Antal Doráti, Iván Fischer and David Zinman followed, and she performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich.

Concerts
23. March19:00 - 21:00Friedrichsfelde PalaceString Quartett - Quartet Berlin-Tokyo
Works by Haydn, Schulhoff and Schubert
The ensemble, founded in 2011, has already performed on many national and international concert stages and has been a guest at Hamburg's Laeiszhalle, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, among others. In addition, the four young musicians have been invited by renowned festivals, such as the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, the Takefu International Music Festival, Heidelberger Frühling and Davos Festival in Switzerland, where they have performed Morton Feldman's 5-and-a-half-hour string quartet, among others.

Works by Haydn, Schulhoff and Schubert
The young German mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Chayka-Rubinstein, born in Ukraine, is one of the most promising young singers. She has already won numerous awards. Kunal Lahiry is a BBC New Generation Artist and a scholarship holder of the Carl Bechstein Foundation. Recent concerts have taken her to Wigmore Hall, the Kennedy Center, Pierre Boulez Hall and Carnegie Hall.

Works by Piazzolla and contemporaries
Per Arne Glorvigen is one of the most successful bandoneon players today. He studied accordion at the Oslo Academy of Music from 1983 to 1987. In 1989 Per Arne met Astor Piazzolla, the master of tango. The Glorvigen Trio - in its instrumentation violin, bandoneon, double bass - inspires in sparkling and passionate friction the tango, in partly own arrangements.
