Treat your school or day-care group to a very special outing at Tierpark Berlin. As an extracurricular learning centre, the Tierpark offers a range of tours and projects adapted to every age group. Based on the Berlin curriculum, the tours and projects cleverly combine extraordinary animal experiences with natural science teaching.

    Years 1 & 2

    Below you will find the range of tours for grades 1-2 per topic area of the framework curriculum.

                Teacher training

                Find out what Tierpark Berlin has to offer as an extracurricular learning centre. Our cost-free teacher training workshops tell you more about the concepts behind the individual tours and projects and how they link in with the government-approved Berlin curriculum. You will also gain fascinating insight into the wide range of animals on view here and discover how each tour offers a very special learning experience.

                In addition, the Tierpark school offers topic-related, advanced training courses for the Regional Advanced Training Programs of the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family.

                Nurseries/ After-school groups

                Our specially developed tours for very young children give day-care groups a unique experience of Tierpark Berlin. Under the care of an experienced guide, the children interact with the animal kingdom in a fun and playful way.

                  Pay Attention dinosaur fans: Together with a guide, you go on an exciting journey through time to the impressive prehistoric giants in Dinoworld Berlin.

                  Think monkeys spend all their time eating bananas and being cheeky? Think again! On a visit to the Primate House, the group will learn lesser-known facts about what monkeys get up to.
