Our Striped hyena couple

Have you had the pleasure of meeting Aladin and Happy, the two striped hyenas?

The two hyenas have been cohabiting at the Tierpark for several months now. Happy joined their shared habitat last year. You can easily identify the hyena lady by the distinctive notch in her ear.

Did you know? Striped hyenas have longer front legs than hind legs, giving them a characteristic 'lowered' appearance. This feature, along with their robust front legs, enables them to transport prey more efficiently than many other animals.
