CHEEKY CHAP CLIMBS HIGH

In early August, the Tierpark experienced its very first Roloway monkey birth.

The dapper little chap is now clambering high and low all around his habitat – as is to be expected from these skilled climbers. The primates use their long tails to help them balance when they’re monkeying around at great heights.

The species is classified as “Critically Endangered” on the IUCN Red List. Deforestation, human encroachment and uncontrolled hunting for bushmeat have driven them to the brink of extinction.
