A new floor for our giraffes

Our giraffe family has been treated to new flooring right on time for the colder weather.

The floor is a fantastic gift from housing association HOWOGE, the giraffe herd’s generous and loyal long-term sponsor.

Surprisingly, the first to set foot on the new floor was female giraffe Andrea, who is usually the cautious, shy one. In this video, keeper Claudia Walther shows off the new floor and explains why it’s such a luxury for our giraffes.
