Welcome to Tierpark Berlin!

In former East Berlin, a short train ride from Alexanderplatz, lies Tierpark Berlin – Europe’s largest animal park! Set in 160 hectares of beautiful parkland around the historic Friedrichsfelde manor house, the Tierpark is home to animals from all over the world.

    70 years of Tierpark Berlin

On July 2, 1955, Tierpark Berlin opened its gates for the first time. What began with around 400 animals has, nearly 70 years later, become Europe's largest landscape zoo. Spread across 160 hectares, many animal species – some of them endangered – have found a home here. Since its founding, this place has not only enchanted generations of visitors, but has also become an important institution for conservation, education, and recreation.

    Roommates wanted!

To make Europe's most modern elephant house even more diverse, we need your support! With your donation, you can help give meerkats, aardvarks and more a home at Tierpark Berlin.

    I want to help!
