Reaction to confirmed case of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in Brandenburg
Tierpark closed to visitors effective immediately as of January 10, 2025.
Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) has been detected in cattle at the eastern border of Berlin in Brandenburg.
This is a viral infection dangerous to cloven-hoofed animals and classified as a notifiable animal disease. Closing is, therefore, the most important preventive measure, coordinated with the Lichtenberg district office.
