Our hawk owls have had offspring. A total of 8 chicks have hatched at the zoo since April.
Once again this year, young of these rare owls are to be released into the wild in the Steinwald Nature Park.
The aim is to reintroduce at least 150 owls in the coming years. Three owls were successfully reintroduced last year.
