Living in danger

Sumatran tigers are under massive threat from habitat loss, poaching with snares and superstitious beliefs about the medicinal benefits of their body parts. Also, their rainforest habitat is being destroyed to make space for gigantic oil palm plantations.

Thanks to their webbed toes, Sumatran tigers
are excellent swimmers.
