Storytime at Zoo Berlin
Zoo Berlin whisks children away into a fantastic world of fables and fairy tales set amidst a magical kingdom of birds.
One Sunday each month, volunteer storytellers from the Zoo and Tierpark Berlin friends’ association read aloud to children in the Africa section of the World of Birds. The event starts at 11 a.m. and there is no extra charge. Surrounded by the screeches and tweeting of exotic birds, young Zoo visitors gain a magical new perspective on our feathered friends.
Listening to stories is an important part of childhood development as it fosters language skills. This is the age when a lifelong love of books, stories and language begins. As they are read to, even very young children form exciting, funny and incredible stories in their minds.
