Photo Competition

Do you have any historic snaps or recordings of Tierpark Berlin? Stunning, interesting or funny photos of the Tierpark from the past 60 years? We are organizing a photo competition under the motto "Historical Tierpark" to mark it's 60th anniversary. A jury will pick out the most significant photos. These will then be presented in the Monkey House from 4 July as part of our grand family festival for the Tierpark's birthday. We are also giving away 3 pairs of daily tickets for the Tierpark Berlin to be raffled among all the entries.

The First Rays of Sun for Tayo

Little Tayo is now just 8 weeks old. The gerenuk with the thin legs now can finally take to the outdoors with mum and dad. For the first time! Tayo blinks with uncertainty as he takes in the first rays of sunshine. He closes his eyes and lets the warmth work its magic. When nothing bad happens, he looks around and continues to teeter cautiously. Puffing his tiny nostrils out, Tayo appears to cautiously take in the scents of nature and then begin to enjoy them. Of course, he always stays very close to his mum and dad – just in case something bad actually happens. But nothing bad does happen.

Playmate for Donkey Girl Camilla

Huge 'miniature' surprise at the weekend: A female miniature donkey was born in Tierpark Berlin on 26 March. The little one is called Camilla, and her favourite activity is cuddling up to her mum, Carmen.

The Tierpark Princess

Well, I'll be damned! March 22 2015 seen a whole lot of excitement happening in the Monkey House: A little monkey girl is the latest addition to the Diana monkey population at Tierpark Berlin. She's not only a little cutie, she is also very important. The number of Diana monkeys in the wild (West Africa) is on the decline.
