Day-care Centres & After-school Care

A visit to the Tierpark for younger children is just an adventure through and through. We therefore offer day-care and after-school care centres special tours by topic, during which the children are playfully introduced early on to the issues of wildlife, nature, the animal life at the zoo and wildlife conservation.

Guided Sessions and Tours

Little Red Riding Hood was mistaken

NABU is committed to freely living wolves. It was ultimately ignorance and prejudices that ousted the wolf from Germany over a hundred years ago. We have put together a fun and playful guided session which will inform children about the living habits of the wolf so that our youngest visitors wont take the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood to heart too much. You may like to take a look at some of NABU's information in preparation or to reflect on afterwards: www.NABU.de/ahuuu

The monkeys at the Tierpark

What type of monkeys are there at the Tierpark? Do monkeys only eat bananas? Are all monkeys scared of water? Can monkeys speak? These and similar questions can be answered during the guided session at the park.

Spring bloomers at the Tierpark

Many city children only get to know crocuses and snowdrops, but here at the Tierpark you will see winterlings, daffodils, anemones, imperial crowns and many other spring bloomers come to the fore during March and April. What happens to plants during the winter? How do you know that they grow back again? How plants adapt to the seasons is explained playfully using different examples.
